What is Spiritual Care?
Spiritual care, spiritual companionship and spiritual direction are essentially all names for the same thing but are different depending on your faith or beliefs. Traditional "Spiritual Direction" often assumes a specific, ongoing relationship with a Divine figure (often God) and focuses on discerning that specific guidance, will, or "voice" in daily life. It is "directed" in the sense that it is a structured, intentional, and often long-term process aimed at growing in a specific faith tradition or spiritual path.
In contrast, I identify as a Spiritual Care Provider or Spiritual Companion. My care is person-centered and focuses on helping you find your own meaning, purpose, and inner wisdom. I’ve learned the art of holy listening, and I feel guided to offer this presence to others. In partnership with Spirit, I provide a calm, grounded space where you can slow down, listen inward, and explore what is stirring in your life. My role is not to give answers, but to accompany you with warmth, curiosity, and reverence as you discern the gleanings of your soul. My approach is non-dogmatic and non-creedal, and my practice is fully inclusive and welcoming of diverse traditions and identities, including pagan paths and LGBTQ+ folks.
If you feel called to pause, reflect, and reconnect with your inner life, I would be honored to walk with you.
